Cheshire’s newest luxury spa set to open in the coming months, The Spa at Carden, has completed training with the provider of organic cancer therapy training – Made for Life Organics.

In understanding the array of stressors that cancer can trigger, the spa will now open with ten fully qualified therapists and will be extending its treatment offering to support people during a difficult time. Made For Life Organics has been supporting salons and spas since 2008 to enable therapists to help their clients with emotional resilience and achieve ultimate relaxation through touch therapy.

The fully accredited three-day Cancer Touch Therapy training course offers holistic therapy training to provide therapists with the knowledge to recognise body changes, levels of touch and adaption to ensure full competency when working with guests who are affected by cancer.

The Spa at Carden took its training one step further through a special partnership with Cheshire-based cancer support charity, Shine Bright. The Spa welcomed three of Shine Bright’s members, so that the members could experience the power of its new spa treatments whilst the spa therapists could have a personal training experience.

Steve Ewing, director of Spa at The Spa at Carden, added: “Treating guests who are undergoing treatment for cancer or post-treatment has not historically been easy. We want our guests to come to us to relax and unwind at a time of need, so it is important that our expert therapist team can cater to the specific needs of each guest.

“Our Made for Life Organics training has enabled us to ensure that our treatments are safe and relaxing for all of our clients. It was wonderful to have Shine Bright provide us with first-hand feedback and we look forward to a continued partnership with them.”
