Proto-col, the British collagen brand, is to launch a new sub-brand Proto-col Clinical, with exclusive products and formulations for salons, spas and skincare clinics.

The move is part of a wider restructuring of the business that commenced with the appointment of a new UK sales team last summer. The new sub-brand will “keep collagen technology at its heart” and will see the imminent launch of higher-strength collagen drinks and vegan superfood supplements.

The range will feature ingredients that are clinically tested to help with skin elasticity, healthy skin, hair and nails plus further studies in cellulite, acne and wound healing. The range will also enable beauty therapists and other practitioners to deliver new treatments and support business growth with extended on-sales opportunities.

James Greenwell, founder and CEO of Proto-col, commented: “’Innovative collagen technology has always been central to what we do at Proto-col and this new sub-brand will enable us to focus on clinical formulations in high concentrations. The launch marks an important milestone within our organisation and the focus of the new Clinical range is a testament to the confidence that the industry is showing in the Proto-col brand.’’

Rebekka Gardner, head of UK sales at Proto-col, added: “The Proto-col brand has established itself as a collagen expert over the past 15 years and I know our partners across the beauty and medical sectors will be excited by these product developments.”
